Why data careers
Graduate hiring fell by 8% in the Institute of Student Employers’ 2025 survey, with 140 applications for every vacancy, the most in 30 years of its data. Employers are choosier than ever, and they hire graduates who can already show the skills they need. Yet Skills England classes data analysts as an occupation in critical demand, and employers worldwide expect data roles to be among the fastest-growing jobs to 2030. Data job adverts are still well below their 2022 peak, so evidence of real skills matters.

A 12 to 14 week virtual training programme, included in the Data Analyst Launch Track, based on a real brief from Deeplink, with feedback from Deeplink staff. It is part of your training, not a job, and it is unpaid, so the focus stays on what you learn and can show employers. The Data Engineering upgrade adds a second, 6 to 8 week brief in data engineering.
